Typed memories
Screenshots become typed memories
A concert ticket becomes an event with a date and venue, and a product page becomes a product with a price. Not a blob of OCR text.

Engram for Mac · coming soon
Memory for AI assistants that understands screenshots, not just chat. Tickets, receipts, recipes and conversations become dated memories you can ask about, with sources.
Local-first. Runs on your Mac with local models, in one SQLite file.
PreviewIllustration, not the final app. The 2-minute demo is on its way.
Works with
How it works
Three steps, all on your machine.
Or drop in a chat, a link or a PDF. One vision call reads the screenshot and decides what it is.
An event, product, recipe, place or fact, with its fields and a lifespan. Dates are resolved in code, not guessed by a model.
Answers cite the memories they came from. Upcoming events surface before they happen.
Why it's different
Engram stores what a screenshot means, keeps it current, and keeps it on your Mac.
Typed memories
A concert ticket becomes an event with a date and venue, and a product page becomes a product with a price. Not a blob of OCR text.
Lifespans
Finished events turn past and old facts are superseded. Status lowers ranking but never hides a memory, and every version stays in history.
Writer
Duplicates and clearly new facts are decided without a model. Only the ambiguous cases get one constrained call, and every decision is logged.
Local-first
Local vision and text models through Ollama, local embeddings and one SQLite file. Nothing leaves your machine unless you choose a cloud profile.
Developers
The memory engine is open source. Use it from Python, the CLI or any MCP client today.
